Appeals and Writs
Lose or win at trial, a case is not over until the appeal is over. Drafting powerful and persuasive briefs is our specialty. If you need a skilled and careful attorney to review your case with fresh eyes , we can help protect your win or give you another chance to prevail at trial.
We have successfully represented clients on appeal in complex and lengthy divorces, wrongful death cases, qualified immunity appeals, employment discrimination, and class action lawsuits. We have also successfully sought certiorari review and filed original proceedings to challenge voting district maps in the Hawaiʻi Supreme Court.
We take appeals concerning family court cases, business disputes, police misconduct, attorneys’ fees, employment discrimination, and other civil rights and liberties cases in both federal and state courts.
